This notice is about this website: the inquiry form, the visitor counter and the ordinary records a web server keeps. It explains what happens to your information if you read these pages or send a message through them.

It does not cover therapy itself. If we begin working together, what is recorded about our sessions, how long it is kept and who may see it are agreed with you during the informed-consent process at the start of therapy, as part of my professional obligations as a psychologist. Those details are not published on this website, and this notice does not attempt to describe them. For what the therapy relationship involves more generally, see the client information and terms of therapy, which is a public summary rather than the full client agreement.

The form asks for your name, your email address, how you would prefer to be contacted, the kind of session you are asking about, and your message. If you ask to be phoned or contacted on WhatsApp, it also asks for a phone number, because otherwise I cannot do what you asked.

What you send is emailed to me and is not stored on this website. There is no database of inquiries on the server and no copy is kept there. Your message lives in my mailbox, like any other email you might have sent me.

Please keep the form brief. You do not need to explain your history to get a reply, and an ordinary email form is not a secure or confidential channel. A sentence about what you are looking for is plenty. If you do choose to write something about your health or your circumstances, I treat it as confidential and use it only to answer you, but the safest place for that conversation is a session, not this form.

Records the server keeps
Înregistrările păstrate de server
The hosting provider keeps ordinary web server logs, which include your IP address, the pages requested, the time, and what your browser says it is. These are produced by the server, not by me, and are used to keep the site secure and working.

So that one connection cannot flood the form with automated messages, the site briefly remembers that a message was sent from your connection. It holds a one-way code made from your address rather than the address itself, it allows five messages in ten minutes, and it is discarded after that.

This site sets no cookies for visitors. There is no advertising pixel and no social media tracking.

One small thing is stored on your device, and it is not a cookie: which language you chose, so that the site opens in that language next time. It is the word "en" or "ro", it stays in your browser, it is never sent anywhere, and clearing your browser's site data removes it.

The typefaces are served from this website's own server rather than from a third-party font service, so simply opening a page does not tell a font company that you visited.

The visitor counter

Visits are counted using a counter that runs on this website rather than a service like Google Analytics, so your browser does not contact another company in order to be counted. For each page view it records the page, the site that linked you here if there was one, whether you were on a phone, tablet or computer, the country the visit came from, roughly how many seconds the page was visible (up to about five), and whether you scrolled or tapped. The last two exist to tell a real reader from an automated crawler.

To count one person's visits within a single day without knowing who they are, your IP address and browser description are turned into a short code, mixed with a secret value that is regenerated every day and never saved. Your IP address itself is never written down by the counter. Because yesterday's secret no longer exists, one day's codes cannot be matched to the next day's, or worked back to you. If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, no visit is recorded at all.

The inquiry form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which checks that a person rather than a machine is using it. When you use the form, reCAPTCHA collects device and browser information along with your IP address and sends it to Google to score the submission, and it loads its own resources from Google's servers. It is used only for that check. Google's privacy policy and terms of service apply to that processing.
Formularul de contact este protejat de Google reCAPTCHA, care verifică dacă este folosit de o persoană și nu de un program. The website and its mailbox are hosted in the United Kingdom. Google operates globally and may process the reCAPTCHA and mail data outside the European Economic Area under the safeguards described in its own privacy policy, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

9. How it is protected

The whole site is served over an encrypted connection. The form is protected by a hidden trap field that only automated submissions fill in, a limit on how many messages one connection may send, and the reCAPTCHA check. Inquiries are not stored on the server at all, so there is no database of them to lose.

Formularul este protejat de un câmp-capcană ascuns pe care îl completează doar trimiterile automate, de o limită a numărului de mesaje pe care le poate trimite o conexiune și de verificarea reCAPTCHA. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach occurs that is likely to put your rights and freedoms at risk, I will report it to the supervisory authority within 72 hours and tell you where the law requires it.
